Pattern Review: Cabriole

A few months ago, I made the Cabriole bolero by Lisa Chemery.  I made the six month size for my then-soon-to-be-born new daughter, who is now one month old. It should be the right size for her when the weather cools off. I love how this little sweater looks!

This was my first knitted top-down sweater pattern, and it's a good introduction to that construction. The pattern was easy to follow and clearly written. The diagrams were also very helpful. I really like the shape of the body and how the lace pattern works up, and I love that instructions are included for nine sizes (3 months to 10 years!).

I made this little sweater out of one skein of Comb Feathers, which is a lovely wool/silk blend from Chicken Coop Dyeworks. I bought it on my trip to Knit Dallas, back in April. The yarn is a dream to work with, and I love the colorway!
