There's been some confusion about how the increases work in the Wagon Wheel Potholder pattern, so I've made a video showing the first few rounds of the pattern and explaining how to increase in waffle stitch. The increases are a little fiddly, but if you can see your stitches and are comfortable with post stitches, it's not too hard.
More waffle stitch patterns with shaping are coming soon, so this tutorial will be useful for those as well.
